Hey, I just want it noted that I'm KEEPING MY BIG MOUTH SHUT, for once! (See? I CAN sit out a heated argument! LOL!) So what else is on everyone else's mind, this week? (nt)
- Nosewiper 10/30/2008 18:53:43 CDT (5)
Kudos! I have too, well just until a minute ago when I added my 2 cents at the bottom of that political thread, lol. Oh well. (nt) - live4truth13 10/30/2008 19:07:07 CDT (0)
In addition to politics which is ALWAYS heated, to me, it's not that HUGE of a deal, we've been dealing with bullying at our Catholic school (with one of my sons being the target), unexpected death of my husband's brother, and thirdly, our oldest son is leaving for S. Korea for a year tomorrow morning. I'm taking the kids to go trick or treating for the Satanist holiday (just kidding) tomorrow night. (nt) - serenunlogged 10/30/2008 19:09:46 CDT (3)
Me too, though I've shouted at the computer a fair bit. I need to unload the car dh hit the deer with, corral ds's friends that are coming over tonight and find a name for that *#$& kitten. (nt) - joyofsix 10/31/2008 04:59:50 CDT (0)
Aw, that's no fun! (nt) - YankeeMom 10/31/2008 11:24:42 CDT (0)

Blog article written by a Catholic priest entitled "More Than 100 Reasons To Vote Against Barack Obama". Definitely worth reading! (m)
- kpmomof7 10/29/2008 17:04:15 CDT (1)
I challenge you. How about if you post a 100 reasons someone should vote for McCain. Let's be fair and balanced now- come up with 100. - zoounlogged 10/30/2008 06:59:22 CDT (4)
I only need a few . . . he's pro-life, strong on national defense, and a fiscal conservative. That puts him miles above his opponent. (nt) - YankeeMom 10/30/2008 07:24:18 CDT (1)
Snort! Thanks for the laugh. "Fiscal Conservative". Like this? - zoounlogged 10/30/2008 08:29:53 CDT (1)
Um, whatever you posted didn't come through. Yes, fiscal conservative -- unlike Obama who voted to raise taxes 94 TIMES (when he bothered to show up in the Senate, that is.) He is a far-left tax-and-spend "share the wealth" liberal period. (nt) - YankeeMom 10/30/2008 08:46:26 CDT (1)
Be careful Kristin. You are about to enter the I'm rubber you're glue territory. Check out McCain's attendance record. (nt) - zookeeper 10/30/2008 12:40:25 CDT (1)
You mean McCain's 22 years vs. Obama's 2? (And half that time running for President?) (nt) - YankeeMom 10/30/2008 12:53:41 CDT (1)
No, I mean recent terms. Makes you wonder...should anyone be part of our government for that long? How can he fix it if he's embedded in it? What can he accomplish in the next 4 yrs with a new job titlle that he hasn't been able to do already in the last 2+ decades. (nt) - zookeeper 10/30/2008 13:09:10 CDT (1)
Well, he's one of FIFTY Senators. His power is quite limited. Very different than ONE President. For the most part, I really like his record there. (nt) - YankeeMom 10/30/2008 13:50:54 CDT (1)
Besides that, what has Obama done to help fix the sad state of affairs in Illinois? Man can't help his own state ~ by using your logic, I can ask, how will he be any good for the nation? (nt) - kateunlogged 10/30/2008 14:46:31 CDT (1)
Have you not noticed that every state is in a sad state these days? It's called a recession. But if you're referring to the "IL" post someone put up last week, let's look at this: - zookeeper 10/30/2008 14:52:18 CDT (2)
LOL, not NH. Strong economy (recession-proof), little crime, no sales or income taxes, high standard of living, lowest overall tax burden in the nation, solid educationally . . . dig hard, but you won't find much. (nt) - YankeeMom 10/30/2008 17:04:41 CDT (1)
You don't need to get sarcastic, Stacey. Like I've said many times already, I don't think McCain is fantastic, but I think Obama is much, MUCH worse. I'm still waiting for you to tell me why you think he's such a great choice for president. (nt) - kateunlogged 10/30/2008 18:00:08 CDT (1)
I can only come up with 100 reasons why I CANNOT vote for John McCain. Those are Palin x 100. (more) - serenitynow 10/30/2008 08:17:00 CDT (3)
That's the best response you could come up with?.....m - luvinmylife 10/30/2008 09:06:06 CDT (1)
I never said McCain is the most-awesome presidential candidate evah. I just thought this was a great essay putting a huge number of the concerns about Obama together for a person to see. If you hate McCain so much, why don't you write an essay of 100 reasons to not vote for him? (m) - kpmomof7 10/30/2008 12:45:33 CDT (1)

Hi, just checking in briefly. Our one and only barely functioning computer died Friday. A new one isn't in the budget unless we rearrange something. I'm at the library today but I don't get here often. Have a fun week whether you celebrate or not. Jenn and Kanga, I may just send all 30 lbs of candy we're sure to rake in YOUR way! Oooo! Now that's scary! ((Halloween Hugs)) Carol (nt)

- Ranae 10/27/2008 06:13:17 CDT (17)
Denise w/6...trunk or treat was last night...we had Dracula, a Butterfly, a Teletubby & a Pumpkin, granddaughter was a witch...they will be the same on Halloween. Oldest two usually dress as women anytime a costume is required. (nt) - Denise1066 10/27/2008 06:33:51 CDT (0)
Debbie w/7. A train conductor, a pink angel, Hannah Montana, Mariposa, and a pumpkin outfit that all babies wear 1st Halloween since 1992. (nt) - debjzunlogged 10/27/2008 07:37:52 CDT (0)
Ranae with 7 ... uh, no clue; tiger; mummy; some assembly of his own design; oldest 3 will be jedis (nt) - Ranae 10/27/2008 07:57:28 CDT (0)
Caroline w/ 6...we went to an event on Saturday. We had one reluctant dragon (one yr old), one wizard (3 yr old), one princess (8 yr old), and one witch (almost 10 yr old). Oldest DS (almost 15 yr old) always wears a cloak and "Scream" mask if he dresses up. Oldest DD was working Sat. and will be gone to Girl Scout National Convention on Halloween, so she's not dressing up this year. (nt) - ckmom 10/27/2008 08:05:00 CDT (0)
Shel w/6 more weeks to go until #7 is here! My 4 youngest are dressing up as Spiderman, a "good" witch (lol), a princess, and Thomas the Train. (nt) - shel 10/27/2008 09:03:09 CDT (0)
Jenn with 10 here, 3 away. We're dressing up as The Meanest Mom & Dad Ever (it won't take much work), and explaining for the billionth time that we don't believe Christians should be celebrating (even in fun) a Satanist holiday. Humbug! (nt) - Nosewiper 10/27/2008 09:03:13 CDT (2)
Karin with 6. Oldest has a gorilla suit, next one will be a dead something (one year it was a skateboarder with a massive head injury, one year a clown, one year just a generic zombie...) 10yo made himself a batman costume, 8yo ds is going as Indiana Jones, 8yo dd is going as Cindy Lou Who, and the "baby" is a princess. (nt) - karin 10/27/2008 09:06:19 CDT (0)
Melnaie w/ 5 + 1 otw ... We don't celebrate Halloween. (nt) - melsmunchkins 10/27/2008 09:12:32 CDT (0)
Claire with #6 due March. We don't celebrate Halloween; we take them out to dinner instead. (nt) - luvinmylife 10/27/2008 09:25:52 CDT (0)
Kristin w/9 + 1 in utero. We don't consider Halloween a holiday. We do let the kids trick-or-treat. (Nothing scary.) Costumes: Darth Vader, colonial girl, medieval princess, Star Wars clone, princess, Mario, princess. (Yes, my girls like princesses.) (nt) - YankeeMom 10/27/2008 09:33:16 CDT (0)
Jenn. No clue. - msjennbug 10/27/2008 10:15:13 CDT (0)
Kanga, with 6 at home and 2 away. We're dressing up as a happy family and avoiding the pagan celebrations, see note under Jenn's post. (nt) - Kanga 10/27/2008 10:25:53 CDT (0)
Lisa w7. I'll think about that Friday. (nt) - joyofsix 10/27/2008 11:08:54 CDT (0)
nancy w/ 6 - oldest is too old, but works as a scary sea captain at the walkthrough w/ ds #3, Brianna will be a "weirdo swimmer" - (not exactly sure what that is, but she asked how much the bathing caps that old ladies wear w/ the flowers costs-lol), #5 wants to be a pirate, and #6 will be whatever princess is in the closet - I'm thinking Snow White will fit her this year. (nt) - nancys6kids1dog 10/27/2008 11:54:39 CDT (0)
karan w/ 8 not sure just yet I have a WHOLE week! lol (nt) - karan 10/27/2008 15:38:53 CDT (0)
We are doing the Wizard of Oz as a family. I will be the wicked witch of the EAST (the one that got crushed under Dorothys house). We are having a Halloween party. (nt) - PaulaK 10/27/2008 17:32:39 CDT (1)
Should I log in.....here and there....ummmm we just moved into a house.....we practice everyday what we will be--still only a few with 8 (nt) - SusanPOD-Bob 10/30/2008 21:35:24 CDT (0)
