Kate - I really hope and pray that the best outcome is achieved - I don't know how you do it - of course you've got a million thoughts and yet have to be bright for Joshua and the other kids - prayers for you too. (nt) - nancys6kids1dog 11/05/2008 13:08:05 CST (1)

Kate, my kids and I have been praying, and will continue to pray. - karin 11/05/2008 21:22:29 CST (1)
Kate, you have every reason to be scared, weepy and raw. It would be weird if your weren't. Lots of prayers for Joshua, you, the family and the surgeon. (nt) - mirkyunlog 11/05/2008 23:52:21 CST (1)

Regarding the great abortion debate we are still having--IMO, anyone who believes that abortion should be outlawed should be in the front line volunteering--to do foster care, adopt, be a mentor to parents that need it, etc. (m)
- PaulaK 11/05/2008 12:02:04 CST (9)
Well, following that reasoning . . . - YankeeMom 11/05/2008 12:29:45 CST (1)
we have most of that - I guess I'm still amazed at the disparity between states - my neighbor teaches child development, prenatal care, child care to the >> - nancys6kids1dog 11/05/2008 13:00:54 CST (1)
I plan on it. When Eric hits kindergarten, I do want to be able to start doing foster care, and if led, adopt. Also - Ranae 11/05/2008 13:29:01 CST (3)
Although I agree with what Kristin said, I'd also point out.....m - luvinmylife 11/05/2008 15:11:25 CST (1)
We'd love to foster and/or adopt, but our house isn't big enough for the state to allow us to foster & we don't make enough money to be allowed to adopt. The system makes it difficult for many who would like to adopt, unfortunately. (nt) - kpmomof7 11/05/2008 17:37:20 CST (0)
I agree, and sometimes it can be the the simplest things that make a big difference. (nt) - zookeeper 11/05/2008 20:32:07 CST (0)
I'd like to know what figures and facts you have to show that most of the efforts of the pro-life movement are directed at outlawing abortion rather than addressing the reasons women have for wanting abortions. (nt) - mirkyunlog 11/06/2008 01:13:04 CST (2)
I think that willingness to help others should be extended by EVERYONE, whether or not they're pro-life....(m) - Nosewiper 11/06/2008 09:16:05 CST (1)

I think McCain would've won against Hillary, but she would've beaten anyone else who was in the running. - karin 11/04/2008 22:48:10 CST (1)
Am I the only one who loves Sarah Palin? What can I say, always the contrarian. Off to comfort my 16 and 14 yo who look positively dejected. (nt) - joyofsix 11/05/2008 06:21:16 CST (7)
you might be! lol - while I would agree w/ many of her moral positions, I don't think she was well enough prepared for the highest office in the land. - not saying it has to be a "Washington insider", but come on, she never even traveled to other countries- there has to be a more experienced palatable woman - not saying she's the ticket, but for example, Condie Rice is certainly more qualified. (nt) - nancys6kids1dog 11/05/2008 07:28:02 CST (0)
I liked Sarah Palin. I wanted to have a TOK mom in the White House. But I agree with Nancy--the ticket would have had a MUCH better chance with Ms. Rice on it. The thing that ticks me off is that Obama has just about as much experience as Palin, and everyone forgot that point. (nt) - Nosewiper 11/05/2008 07:32:31 CST (1)
Well, it's no secret I opposed the choice of Palin from day 1, but I have nothing against her personally and I love her values (I still say she is more qualified to be President than Obama.) (nt) - YankeeMom 11/05/2008 08:11:25 CST (0)
I like Palin. (nt) - leenieseven 11/05/2008 08:38:29 CST (0)
She'd be a fun neighbor. But I don't want to live next to the White House (nt) - carlymac 11/05/2008 09:15:42 CST (0)
Nope, you're not the only one! I adored her & I think she would have been great in the White House. (nt) - kpmomof7 11/05/2008 10:58:18 CST (0)
I like Sarah Palin very, very much. Terrific gal. (nt) - mirkyunlog 11/05/2008 11:16:17 CST (0)
